It's actually kind of funny... I consider Full Moon wo Sagashite one of the best shoujo animes ever made (certainly in the top ten and my personal top five), and I completely worship the author, Arina Tanemura. She has GORGEOUS art these days, even if her stories are not all that, Fullmoon aside. (As anyone reading Sakura-hime Kaden will know) But even with all that, I have never read the manga. I guess because when the anime came out, there was no english version of the manga available (there is now) and I couldn't read japanese. So the other day, I found the entire series in a used bookstore for 800 yen.. and of course I had to pick it up!

I've only just barely started (read vol 1 this morning, but have to stop there because there is just too much to do), but I remember now why I loved the anime so much. The manga is stunning, and honestly one of the reasons that I want to work for Shueisha so badly, and be published in Ribon, is that I could therefore be her (friendly) rival. I just adore her artwork so much!! I don't know if it's a good or a bad thing, but Tanemura-sensei, here I come!!

Anybody who hasn't seen/read Fullmoon, I highly recommend it! I cried so hard at the end of the anime... seriously bawled! I hope I feel the same at the end of the manga, when I finish. ^^

Chuck: I get what she sees in you: the fearlessness in the face of danger, the imperviousness to pain, the supercool tank tops.... Stop me whenever this is getting uncomfortable...

Dammit show! What's with all the OT3s, really? And I thought Kingdom Hearts overdid it. Stop it at once! Not only must Cole be attractive, interested in Sarah, and epic at this spy gig, he also happens to be a charming, nice guy who wants Chuck to know he's not doing too bad a job even if it's not exactly true. Not to mention, as a review of this particular episode points out, Cole "speaks Chuck's language": he explains the guns as "point and click" and frankly loves the whole saving-the-day stuff that Chuck occasionally gets into, before being shot down by Casey of course.

Chuck: Yeah, I think so, I think so!
/Sarah moves over to Cole
Chuck: Oh you were talking to him, oh, I thought you were asking if I was okay, but you were talking to him, because he's been shot...again. Right. My bad.

Cole: (to Chuck) We're okay, right? We're okay?
Chuck: ...Yeah. Right. Absolutely. We're okay.

So stop it with the OT3s, show, and then I'll be able to stop posting about you. Dammit.

So, wow, I can't remember the last time I actually advertized this fanfiction on livejournal. Um. Yeah, there have been some looong times between updates, so I suppose I really shouldn't be so surprised with myself BUT ANYWAY~ Let's just pretend I've never been here before, shall we? None of you probably remember me anyway.

On a side note, I made it to France, like, three days ago. Montreal-Nice is a lot less strenuous than anything involving Australia, so it was pretty painless. I'm as insomniac as ever, however, for some inexplicable reason that I guess I can't put down to jetlag, so I'm writing this with very sleepy fingers; forgive any typos.

So, I've finally figured out what the deal with my insomnia is. (You may not care, but...bear with me, or something.) Basically, I think I must be sleeping some, because I feel different to how I do after a nuit blanche, but I think I must not be getting to REM sleep at all, or something like that. Because I do dream, of sorts, the way you do when you doze, you know? I still don't feel fully asleep, but there is a running story going on my head a lot of the time and I can't really hear or notice my surroundings. So I guess I am sleeping, of a kind, and thus getting some rest, but never feel fully asleep because, you know, I'm not. /shuts up now

Chuck: How can you just sit there and watch them die?!
Roan: Because I'm not in love with one of the agents.
Chuck: I-I'm not in...I care about...them. I care about both of them.

Also, does anyone know that mind-game involving Vikings, helmets, and having to guess the colour of your own helmet? Basically you were sitting on a Viking longboat, with Vikings in front and behind you, and a certain amount of you have red helmets, and a certain amount some other colour, and you have to use you omfgwits to discover what colour yours is! Is this ringing any bells? I just spent half an hour googling to no avail. ;_;

ETA: OH MY GOD. Sleep state misconception. I HAVE IT. Listen to this: "What happens with me is that I go to bed every night at 10:00 p.M. And I lay there for hours, I seem to go into this trance like state where I can actually dream, but I am also wide awake, and this goes on until the wee hours of the morning, until I finally just get up. I am very tired when I get up, and I look like I haven't slept in weeks, and as far as I am concerned I haven't." YES. And now I'm up consumed with so much anxiety about not getting to sleep that LOL I CAN'T GET TO SLEEP when technically I probably slept okay last night. What the fuck! Also I just spent half an hour on wikipedia reading the page about that FATAL TYPE OF INSOMNIA, and oh my god, could I have lived a long, happy life without seeing that wikipedia page. I wanna die. ;_;

I wish I had more interesting stuff to talk about. |D;;; Currently, I'm just playing with adopts sites and procrastinating icons for the current RP journals I own. (I kind of want to make ones for certain characters but I should work with the ones I have now. *sob* I want to make one for Luso, Mighty the Armadillo, Alfred Jones, Wattson, maybe Wobbuffet and a character no one would recognize Amidatty. The reason for the last guy is that someone posted on Dear Mun as Layle.)

WHY AM I SO LAZY?! It's the last week of Christmas Break, and I have only accomplished ONE school assignment (and it had to be a one paragraph reaction paper). I am so lazy, it's not funny anymore. If I compiled my Procrastinator Chronicles, I can make a series that will rival Dragon Ball Z in length and epic-ness.

And I'm almost graduating, for crying out loud. Why must I jeopardize my own graduation?

So, I am making a to-do list that's completely for self reference, and the system here is to give myself a reward once I finish something that's for school. Woohoo! Conditioning is the way to go.

This post has been looooooooooooong overdue, I know! Somehow with work overwhelming me and unwinding from said work needing to be done, I just could never find the time to post on livejournal. I've been BUSY!! Really, really busy!! It might be hard to believe, but I've actually seen tons of friends and done a lot of interesting things when I could spare a bit of time! (Basically, this means that I have basically not been home, except the occasional night and rare early morning for the last two months!! o.o!)

However, from now until the end of the year............. FREEDOM!!!! Okay, I have various things planned here and there, and I need to do a ton of writing for both current and new writing jobs (which I LOVE!), but most important.... I need to work on my manga! (And my projects!!) The first step in my plan is to revamp my livejournal and move everything over to my new webspace (the old one is finally expiring. This will include the FAQ and a new layout among other things. WIP!). Second step is to make a new webpage! Third step is to get that webcomic set up! Fourth step (before the end of the year) is to finally finish the prints! Fifth step is to finish my prints v.1!! I am SO excited!!! I am also going to dig out and finish some other projects from the boonies. And I may have a New Years party, but not sure on that one yet.. Other projects (including make-apartment-awesome!! projects) exist as well, but they're just for whenever I can fit them in..

ANYWAYS!! I have been BUSY. Anybody want to see some pictures?? ( Here are 45 of them! Everything from JUMP Festa to parties to food to weird japanese things! )
